Rachael brings more than 2 decades of experience in the practice of family law with substantial familiarity in all avenues of family law, but with particular focus in domestic violence and restraining orders, child custody and support.  Rachael has been appointed as Minor’s Counsel by various Judges which has provided her a unique perspective on the impact of custody matters on the children.  She uses these unique skills to help her clients to arrive at creative solutions that work in the long term for the benefit of their children, whether in a complex case such as a parent relocation or the problematic “refuse-resist” situations with pre-teen and teenage children, or even with more basic schedule disputes that often appear in these cases.

Rachael graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1998 and began working in family law almost immediately.  She is skilled at working with the complexities involved in each case, whether  working with experts to achieve the best financial results, or helping clients reach solutions in mediation.  While an agreement for the parties is the goal, she is just as ready to litigate when the need arises.  Each client is an individual and the course and scope of representation is narrowly tailored to that person. She considers it an honor to help a family transition to their new dynamic.

Rachael has served as a Board Member for the Contra Costa County Bar Association, and as well as the CCC Bar Association Family Law Section.  Rachael enjoys time with family and friends outside of work. She is a San Francisco native and has raised her family in the Bay Area.  She is an avid quilter, enjoying bringing a modern touch to an old-fashioned craft.
