Sierra attended Chico State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and minored in Sociology. She did freelance writing for newspapers in Chico and Santa Cruz before moving to Truckee to write for the Sierra Sun as a reporter. That is where she first caught interest in the legal field with the cops and courts beat. Sierra received her paralegal certificate in 2013 from UC Santa Cruz. She has almost exclusively been working in family law for the last 10 years. She has found her skills and experience as a journalist have greatly helped her as a paralegal to be able to communicate clearly with clients, conduct witness interviews, gather information, and draft documents.
In her free time, she enjoys binge watching reality TV shows, wine tasting (as she has the convenience of living in Sonoma County), antique shopping, reading, taking her dog Belly on walks, and spending quality time with friends and family.
